Embroidery is an excellent choice for applying your logo to caps, sweatshirts, knit shirts, woven shirts, outerwear, bags & other accessories. Embroidery costs more than screen printing in most cases, but is generally preferred on better quality garments.

Pricing
The price of embroidery is based on the stitch count and the number of items ordered. The stitch count is the number of stitches required to completely embroider a logo. Logos with higher stitch counts take longer to embroider, so they cost more.

Accurately estimating the stitch count requires artwork that is exactly or very close to the logo to be embroidered. Quotes are usually ready the day after artwork is received.

Set up
There is a set up charge for logos that have not been embroidered previously. There is no set up charge for reorders unless the logo needs to be changed.

There are two types of set up, stock & custom.

Stock Set up
Stock set up uses stock lettering & graphics. Stock lettering is keyed into a computer, as with a word processing program, then sized & shaped with embroidery software. Stock graphics can added to enhance the stock lettering.

The best way to browse stock graphics is to visit the websites of the leading suppliers, Dakota Collectibles and Great Notions.

Custom Digitizing
is the process of converting your exact logo to embroidery without substituting stock lettering or graphics. The cost is based on the stitch count because logos with more stitches take longer to digitize.

Setting up stock lettering costs $15.00. The cost of adding stock graphics varies with the price of the graphic selected. Many stock graphics sized to work on caps or left chest locations cost $25 or less.

Custom digitizing starts @ $25.00. A finished logo is necessary for an accurate quote.

Artwork
Logos can be digitized from jpg, pdf, eps or other graphic files. We can receive art files by email, cd or usb thumb drive.

Modifying your logo might improve the embroidery quality or reduce the price. We're happy to discuss this with you.

Artwork is not included in the custom digitizing price. Artwork may be charged depending on the amount of work required. Modified logos are emailed for approval before any embroidery is started.

Small Lettering, Thin Lines, & Puckering
Letters embroider best as a bold font at least 1/4" high, (3/16" on stiffer fabrics such as nylon jackets). Sometimes, it's better to eliminate some lettering & slightly adjust the remaining elements of the logo.

Thin lines will turn out much better if they are made more bold.

Solid areas of color, such as the interior of a circle or shield, make a logo more colorful, but increase the stitch count & cost. On cotton shirts, especially knits, they can cause puckering if the shirt shrinks when laundered. Washing in cold water can minimize this problem.

Maximum logo size for caps 2 1/8" high X 5" wide.

Left chest embroidery is often 3.5" wide, but varies from logo to logo.
Enlarging a logo is one way to improve small lettering.

Quality
Triangle Graphics uses Madeira® rayon thread because of it's rich colors, glossy luster & high tensile strength.

Approval of the first actual embroidery is available by email, or in person. There is no charge for this service.

Garments
Our customers generally purchase the garments to be embroidered from Triangle Graphics. Online and printed catalogs are available.

Customers supplying their own garments should check for inside pockets & heavy seams in the logo area. Embroidery will sew pockets shut, heavy seams prevent the garment from being hooped.

Customers supplying garments assume the risk which is normal for commercial embroidery. Garments damaged by broken needles or other accidents which occur at times during the course of routine production will not be replaced. This may or may not include operator error, depending on the circumstances.
